Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) participated in the NERS Jobs 2022: Create. Sustain. Transform – Planning Exercise with Stakeholders last April 19, 2022, in Tagaytay City.

The Institute was represented by Ms. Athena Mari E. Son, Labor and Employment Officer III from the Employment Research Division.

The Planning Exercise takes off from the updated recovery agenda following a series of assessments and consultations with stakeholders during its meeting last February 4, 2022.

The event was participated by members of the NERS Task Force Technical Working Group comprised of representatives from DTI, DOLE, TESDA, NEDA, DENR, DOT, DOTr, NSC, DAR, DOST, DepEd, DILG, DICT, CHED, OCS, DA, and DPWH, together with stakeholder representatives from the labor tripartite groups.

The approved Updated Employment Recovery Agenda is anchored on the 8-Point Employment Recovery Agenda, which the NERS Task Force originally unveiled during the 2021 Labor Day Job Summit.

The updated version streamlines and recalibrates priorities of the NERS Task Force resulting from previous engagements with stakeholders; factoring in comments and feedback received during meetings and other fora on how to further improve the national government’s employment recovery efforts.
