Tagaytay City – ILS attends the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Labor Relations, Policy, and International Affairs (LRPIA) Cluster 2024 Annual Cluster Planning Exercise on January 17 to 18, at Summit Ridge Hotel, Tagaytay City.

In line with the Labor and Employment Plan (LEP) 2023 to 2028 implementation, the two-day planning exercise aims to align the DOLE operational plan with the decent work agenda embodied in the plan. Led by Undersecretary Benedicto Ernesto R. Bitonio, Jr., the cluster planning and exercise was graced by the heads and representatives of the cluster member agencies, including ILS, National Labor Relations Commission, National Wages and Productivity Commission, National Conciliation and Mediation Board, and Bureau of Labor Relations, and DOLE offices. OIC-Executive Director III Jeanette T. Damo, Deputy Executive Director III Atty. Mary Grace L. Riguer-Teodosio, together with the chiefs of the technical divisions, represented the Institute.

OIC-Executive Director III Damo also presented the LEP Research Agenda for 2024 to 2028 and the calendar of research activities for the fiscal year 2024, the Institute's public communication plan, updates on partnership and convergence, and the Survey on Good Practices of Chamber of Commerce in the United States of America, Europe, South Korea, and Japan.

The cluster planning exercise outputs will be used for the DOLE-wide planning scheduled in February this year.
