The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) attended the Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) training on Recruitment, Selection and Placement (RSP) System on 13-14 February 2018 at CSC Training Room, CSC Building, Constitution Hills, Quezon City.

The participation of ILS Chief of Finance and Administrative Division Camilo Franco Cabusas in the said training is contributory to the Institute’s compliance with 2017 Omnibus Rules on Appointments and Other Human Resource Actions (ORAOHRA) as the training seeks to upgrade the knowledge, skills and understanding of the ILS Human Resource (HR) personnel in recruitment, selection and placement system.

Among the subjects covered during the CSC training program included the following: a) Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME HRM), b) competency-based human resource, c) competency iceberg, d) factors that drive work performance, e) elements of competency level, f) competency types, g) components of competency level, h) recruitment, selection and placement process, i) human resource planning, j) types of interview, k) behavioral event interview (BEI) and l) situation, task, action, result (STAR) technique.

Anchored on the tagline “Gawing Lingkod Bayani ang Bawat Kawani,” the said CSC training is aimed at integrating competencies in the Human Resource System to help public agencies in hiring and retaining the best employees and in developing high performing, competent and credible civil servants.
