The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), in support of its reiteration of Work From Home work scheme through ILS Administrative Order 2020-36, and to enable the smooth facilitation and monitoring of requests for services of all the Institute’s divisions, is also implementing a tool for Online Service Request (OSR) in lieu of the printed Service Request Form (SRF).

The tool, embedded in the Microsoft Teams and created by the Institute’s Advocacy and Publication Division (APD), provides the following; a.) automatic forwarding of requests through “Recipient” input field; b.) feedback mechanism through real-time email notification for completed request with link back to the original form for client’s comments and rating; and c.) option for follow-up or tagging of related requests/issues previously submitted.

The APD, through Advisory 2020-007, assured ILS employees that requests made through the OSR are secured with the network communications in Microsoft Teams being encrypted by default. ILS servers also use Open Authorization (OAuth), Transport Layer Security (TLS), Secure Real-Time Transport Protocol (SRTP), and other industry-standard encryption techniques, including 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption.
