The Institute for Labor Studies' Gender and Development (GAD) Committee organized the forum titled "Age Doesn't Matter: A Learning Session on Employment Outcomes of Elderly in the Philippines" on 13 December 2018 at the ILearn Conference Room, ILS, 5/F DOLE Building, Intramuros, Manila.

Acting Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba welcomed the participants and expressed her support for the active participation of the country’s elderly in productive employment even in their old age.

Mr. Nicanor V. Bon of the Bureau of Working Conditions discussed the salient points of  RA 10911 or the Anti-Age Discrimination in Employment Law. The participants also heard the testimony of Ms. Necita D. Salivio of Nagkakaisang Senior Citizens ng Maynila on the topic “Senior Citizens at Work.”

In attendance were staff of the different bureaus, services, and attached agencies of the Department of Labor and Employment.
