Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies conducted it first virtual 2022 General Assembly to continue with its recognition of its employees held via Zoom last January 24.

In her Welcpme Remarks, Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba thanked anew all ILS employees for their work contributions for 2021 despite the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, emphasizing the need for the same dedication to work as the Institute prepares for its commitments for the year.

This was followed by the second presentation of the second part of the 2021 PRAISE Awardees. The annual PRAISE wards are for employees who displayed exemplary performance and behaviors displaying ILS core values and code of conduct and ethical standards for public officials and employees.

Awards handed out were the following: 1) Best Organizational Unit Award for the unit, which achieved the organization’s performance targets; 2) Cost Economy Measure Award for unit, which resulted in savings in terms of manhours and cost; 3) Best Attendance Award for employees with the least absence, late and under time; 4) Personal Achievement Award for employees who earned their master’s degree on their own; and 5) Individual Award for employees recognized by other agencies and who had promoted the ILS, among other special citations.

The Best Organization Unit Awards were given to the following: Client Satisfaction Measurement (CSM) Team for their dedication in ensuring the collection of client feedback; the Gender and Development (GAD) Team for their commitment to raise gender awareness as evidenced by their innovative approaches; and the 2021 Resilience in Stride Webinar Series Team led by the Institute’s research divisions, namely, the Employment Research Division (ERD), Workers Welfare Research Division (WWRD), Labor and Social Relations Research Division (LSSRD), in partnership with the Advocacy and Publications Division, for successfully launching and completing 10 full online advocacy webinars focusing on various labor and employment concerns and researches led by the Institute.

Capping the General Assembly was the showing of video documentation report of the Institute for Labor Studies Employees Association’s (ILSEA) moral renewal engagement, “LakbAYTA Outreach Program,” aimed at providing materials for the repair and construction of the classroom of the Ayta learners in Patal Anawo, Maguisuis, Botolan, Zambales last 21-22 December 2021.
