The Institute for Labor Studies, together with the ILS Employees Association, organized a brown bag session for its employees on the topic “Reference Management Using Mendeley” held via Zoom platform last April 3.

The resource person for the said session was Acting Chief Labor and Employment Officer Paulina Kim C. Pacete of the Employment Research Division.

Mendeley is a free reference manager and academic social network that helps organize one’s research, collaborate with others online, and discover the latest related researches. It automatically generates bibliographies and easily imports papers from other research software.

“It enables you to cite while you write and makes referencing easier leaving more mental space for writing. It also provides ease in changing reference system or formatting depending on different formatting guidelines and can be automatically adjusted by setting up specifications,” explained Ms. Pacete.
