ILS earns 10th COA unqualified opinion 2021 full image

Manila - The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) has been given an unqualified opinion by Commission on Audit (COA) for its 2021 financial report. Based on the latest communication from the Commission dated April 29, it stated that “the audit provides a reasonable basis for rendering an unmodified opinion on the fairness of the presentation of the financial statements.” The letter was signed by Director Elinore G. Lavilla from COA’s National Government Audit Sector.

This latest unqualified opinion marks the Institute’s 10-year Unqualified Audit streak – a testament to the Institute’s commitment to transparency and judicious use of public funds.

In her response, ILS Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba said that the recognition “gives us honor, inspiration, and motivation to continuously excel in the performance of our mandate while ensuring strict compliance with accounting and auditing rules and regulations.”

“As we continue to build stronger partnerships in the conduct of our work, we take cognizance of your unwavering support and trust in the Institute. Rest assured that the ILS will sustain its effective, efficient, transparent and accountable use of resources,” Director Lobrin-Satumba added.
