Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) successfully hosted various trainings for the month of November for its employees and officials. These trainings form part of the Institute’s goal of improving knowledge transfer among all its members.

The trainings that were organized for the month included a week-long training from November 15-19 on RA 9184, “An Act Providing for the Modernization, Standardization and Regulation of the Procurement Activities of the Government and for other Purposes,” otherwise known as the Government Procurement Reform Act.

This is in line with the conduct of the Digital Learning Series on Government Procurement by the Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB).

The next training was the conduct of the refresher webinar on Republic Act 10173 otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act last November 22.

The last training that was conducted for all ILS employees was a capacity building activity on the use of Canva Pro, to strengthen its production of infographic materials. Canva is a graphic design platform, used to create social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents and other visual content.
