The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) management, through its Quality Management Systems (QMS) Committee, and guided by Acting Deputy Director Patrick Patriwirawan, Jr. conducted its annual review of its QMS processes via Microsoft Teams video conferencing from June 15-23.

Among the processes and items reviewed by the team were the following: Quality Manual and Understanding the Context of the Organization; Control of Documented Information; Conduct of Research and Technical Advisory Support; Customer Satisfaction Measurement; Internal Quality Audit and Corrective Action; Annual Budget Preparation; Recruitment, Selection, and Placement; Performance Management; Risk and Opportunities Management; and Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of Facilities and Vehicles.

The review was conducted in preparation for the internal surveillance in July, which the Institute will be subjected to in relation to its ISO 9001:2015 certification.

The ILS was awarded its ISO 9001:2015 certification by representatives of the AJA Registrars Inc. on 25 July 2018 at Bayleaf Hotel, Intramuros, Manila.
