QUEZON CITY – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) has officially commenced its 1st Quality Management System (QMS) Internal Quality Audit (IQA) for Fiscal Year 2026, running from 11 May to 01 June 2026, as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen institutional processes and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.

The IQA serves as a key mechanism for assessing effectiveness of the Institute’s systems and procedures, identifying areas for improvement, reviewing actions taken to previous audit findings, and evaluating overall  compliance with its established Quality Management System.

In her message, ILS Executive Director III Jeanette T. Damo underscored the importance of maintaining alignment with ISO standards and ensuring compliance with recommendations from previous audit cycle. She also emphasized the shared responsibility of Audit Teams and process owners in sustaining a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Institute.

ILS has maintained its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification and compliance since 2015, reflecting its sustained commitment to quality public service delivery, with the conduct of the Internal Quality Audit forming part of its preparations for the 2nd Surveillance Audit scheduled in July 2026.
