ILS bags Gold award during the Labor information officers training full image

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) was recognized with the Gold Award during the 5th Labor Information Officers Training conducted last 20 to 23 April 2022 at The Orchard Hotel in Baguio City.

Director Raul M. Francia of the DOLE Information and Publication Service (DOLE-IPS) handed the award to Ms. Lara P. Fameronag, Labor and Employment Officer II from the Advocacy and Publications Division (APD), who also represented the Institute in the said training

The award, which was the very first time that it was given by DOLE-IPS, is in recognition of the Institute’s “commendable implementation of the DOLE Communication Plan for FY 2021.” Chief Gerry S. Rubio clarified that the said award covered “sustaining public information campaign such as the consistent production of press releases, maintenance of media relations, crafting and implementation of a communication program, and use of quad media for public awareness.

The Institute shares the Gold Award with nine other DOLE offices: National Conciliation and Mediation Board; National Labor Relations Commission; National Wages and Productivity Commission; Professional Regulation Commission; Bureau of Labor Relations; Planning Service; Finance and Management Service; Internal Audit Service; and DOLE Regional Office 13.

ILS’ own communication plan covers advocacies on various labor and employment policy issues engaged in by the Department, and is disseminated by the Institute through the efficient and responsible use of its website and official social media channels.
