QUEZON CITY – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) received commendations from the Commission on Audit (COA) for its CY 2024 financial performance during the annual COA Exit Conference held on 03 April 2025, at the ILS Conference Room, MegaONE Building, Quezon City.
The meeting was attended by state auditors led by OIC-Supervising Auditor Ms. Jemalyn V. Bautista, OIC-Audit Team Leader Ms. Josephine C. Camacho, Audit Team Member Dhayana Marie M. Bustillo, and OSA staff member Laarny T. Arrojo. ILS Executive Director III Jeanette T. Damo, along with Division Chiefs and key employees, participated in the meeting, which focused on the agency’s financial transactions and operations.
COA lauded ILS for its efficient use of its Agency budget, ensuring the timely implementation of programs, projects, and activities. The Institute was also recognized for successfully completing its labor and employment research program for fiscal year 2024.
Additionally, ILS received praise for its consistent efforts in implementing Gender and Development (GAD)- related activities and for regularly conducting programs and activities for Senior Citizens and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
The annual exit conference served as a platform to discuss audit observations and recommendations, with an emphasis on ensuring transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement financial and operational practices
Moving forward, ILS remains committed to developing strategic plans and initiatives that uphold transparency, fiscal responsibility, and policy excellence, as it continues to fulfill its mandate of advancing labor and employment research in the country.
