- This is so that the industry will have the necessary human capital to support and strengthen the industry as a whole in attaining the goals of the Roadmap

- Satisfaction of employers on the competencies and performance of TVET graduates in the workplace
- There are also topics on the adoption of modern, digital, and sustainable technologies and its skills requirements

What are the aims of the survey?- To generate baseline data on needed and critical skills requirements of the construction industry

The survey provides you with the opportunity to input into research, which will help planners to develop policies and programs to address the human resource needs of companies.
Why do you need to talk to me?
As an industry partner, we need to interview you so that we can get a representative picture of construction companies (large and small) in the Philippines, whom are members of the Philippine Constructors Association, Inc. (PCA).
What does participation involve?
- For the research to be successful, we need your support to take part in the survey.
- Participation will involve a personal interview with an interviewer from the Institute for Labor Studies-Department of Labor and Employment (ILS-DOLE), using computer-assisted technology interview (CATI) system during a site visit.
- On average, interviews last around 20 minutes. However, the interview length may vary depending on the answers that you give. The interview will take place at a time that is convenient for you.
- Advance copy of the survey questionnaire will be provided so that interviewees will have time to prepare for the questions before the actual interview/visit. Some questions may require inputs from different staff.
- We need to talk to company officers and/or staff whom are knowledgeable about the human resource situation and needs of your organization.
- We collect information on quantitative measures of skills, e.g. skills gaps, skills shortages, and skills utilization in the workplace; on the factors that are likely to impact on skills use; emerging future skills; and the satisfaction of employers on the competencies and performance of TVET graduates in the workplace.

- Your replies will be treated as strictly confidential by the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and their field personnel, in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
- Information given shall be used solely for research and not for taxation, regulation or investigation purposes.
- All information collected from respondents will be integrated and presented in summaries or in statistical tables pertaining to the whole construction industry. Hence, there will be no individually identifiable information about companies in the survey results.
- The survey is being carried out by the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS). It is the policy research and advocacy arm of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), created under Executive Order No. 251 dated 25 July 1987.
- The survey is an initiative of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), in partnership with the Philippine Constructors Association, Inc. (PCA) in support of the Philippine Construction Industry Roadmap 2020-2030 (launched last March 2019) and its Professional and Skills Upgrading Action Plan.
- The TESDA and PCA partnered with the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) to implement the survey.
