Dev Event Report

The Revive and Thrive webinar series of the Institute for Labor Studies was launched on 26 August 2020, to assist the Department of Labor and Employment, tripartite partners, and other social partners in responding effectively to the socioeconomic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. This policy advocacy series has the objective of bringing together policy researchers, decisionmakers, and grassroots campaigners in discussing practical solutions to the four main challenges posed by the pandemic:

ameliorating the effects of loss of employment and income; ensuring that no worker, regardless of age and employment status, is left behind; overcoming mental health issues and opportunities for gender-based violence caused by the severe restrictions in human mobility; and rebuilding the Philippine economy in an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable way. Many solutions are already being implemented on the ground, and a key aim of the webinar series is to amplify them for widespread adoption.
